Children’s Ministry

A Ministry of the Church and Parents Together

We are grateful to God for giving Berean many children to our families. On Sundays, children are everywhere and we love it. We embrace the privilege to serve them, primarily by teaching them and equipping their parents. Berean ministers to the children in our church in a complementary role with their fathers and mothers. While God commands the father to bring up his children in the Lord (Ephesians 6:4) and for mothers to be their teachers (Prov. 1:8), Paul gave instructions directly to children his letters to the churches (Eph. 6:1; Col. 3:20). We encourage all children to be present in our Lord’s Day worship believing that they will learn the gospel over the years through repetition and observation. Berean offers child care for our children under 5 by qualified adults during our 10:3am worship meeting. We do not require parents to but their children in childcare, but offer this ministry to them.

Adventure Club

Every other Sunday night, Berean teaches our children(3-12yrs old) in a systematic fashion about God, Christ, mankind, sin, redemption, etc. through our Adventure Club Ministry. This ministry systematically encourages Scripture memory in conjunction with an age appropriate exposition of a Scripture passage that teaches the particular doctrine of that night’s focus. Each student receives a book with their memory verses, exercises to do during the week, stories and games to read at home, and satchels and pins for passages memorized. This teaching is done in conjunction with games and supper and occurs from 5-7pm and the second and fourth Sundays of the month. Adventure Club is a favorite ministry for both adults and children as we gather for instruction about our Savior God while enabling our children to have fun together as they learn.
